Diagnostic and Therapy Services Available
PennWest California’s Speech and Hearing Clinic provides a full range of screening, diagnostic and therapy services to pediatric and adult individuals with communication difficulties. These services include initial speech and language screenings, comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and individual and group therapy sessions. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations typically last approximately two hours and can be completed in one session or over the course of multiple sessions. If needed, individual therapy sessions are typically scheduled for one or two 45-minute visits per week. Group therapy sessions are also available.

- Augmentative and Alternative Communication Needs.
- Cognitive-Linguistic Communication Difficulties.
- Fluency Disorders/Stuttering.
- Hearing Loss and Impact on Communication.

- Emergent Literacy and Language-Literacy Difficulties.
- Social-Pragmatic Aspects of Communication.
- Speech Sound Disorders.
- Voice and Resonance Disorders.

Clinicians
Services are provided by student clinicians enrolled in the graduate speech-language pathology program under close supervision by licensed and certified faculty members.
Clinic Calendar
The Speech and Hearing Clinic is open during the fall, spring, and summer sessions. The summer session runs approximately 6-9 weeks; the fall and spring semesters run approximately 13-15 weeks.
Clinic Fees
All speech and language diagnostic and therapy services are offered at no cost.
